catching up

yeah I’ve been horrible at this…so basically I’ve kind of lost the whole momentum and motivation to do much in regards to exercise…I’m trying to eat healthily but that’s a struggle in and of itself.

BUT. Lent has been a good thing this year because I gave up a few things that have helped me:

1. eating out - this not only keeps me from excessively eating food that isn’s super good for me, but also helps out my wallet!

2. alcohol - don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely not an alcoholic, but I do usually have a drink or two on Fridays and Saturdays…so not doing this helps my calorie intake and wallet situation :)

3. Fusion Brew - this was an indirect sacrafice…I initially was abstaining due to my no eating out rule, but then realized that I could probably get away with it since chai and coffee probably doesn’t count as eating out…but I easily go to Fusion 3 or 4 times a week because they’re right under my apartment building. darn you, SAMI! so I have not had Fusion Brew since February….cutting many cals and money! :)

4. makeup - this has no impact on my health, but has helped me in my humility. I have allowed myself to use only one item of makeup (usually being concealer)  because I usually do the whole concealer+bronzer+blush+eye shadow+mascara JUST for going to class! how dumb! so yeah. as much as I don’t really care for how it makes me look tired all the time, it’s been a good way to not focus on how I look.
